Dah lama nak layan movie ni sebab soundtrack dia best lagipun sebab Emraan Hashmi comel. Movie Crook arahan Mohit Suri ni berkisar tentang serangan perkauman rakyat Australia terhadap kaum India pada tahun 2009 terutamanya di kawasan bandar besar seperti Melbourne dan Sydney. 

Jai Dixit (Emraan Hashmi)ambil jalan haram untuk dapat duit poket untuk sara hidup tanpa perlu bergantung kepada Joseph (Gulshan Grover), kawan kepada mendiang ayah dia yang ditembak mati oleh polis gara-gara kes seludup senapang. Joseph berazam untuk besarkan Jai supaya jadi manusia yang baik dan tak pilih jalan sama seperti kawan baik dia.


Tapi malangnya tak ada yang nak terima Jai bila ramai yang tahu kisah silam dia, anak kepada penjenayah. Dia mampu habiskan pelajaran tapi tak mampu nak bekerja disebabkan identiti lama dia sampaikan dia ambil keputusan untuk buat kerja-kerja haram.


Joseph cucuk semangat dalam diri Jai dan hantar dia ke Australia dengan identity baru sebagai Suraj Bhardwaj dan tinggal juga bekerja dengan Goldie (Mashhoor Amrohi). Jai sehabis boleh cuba lari dari apa-apa masalah di sana tapi nasib dia malang bila serangan perkauman tengah memuncak. Walaupun dia jatuh cinta dengan Suhani (Neha Sharma), hubungan mereka terhalang dek kerana abang Suhani, Samarth's (Arjan Bajwa) dah ada calon pilihan dia sendiri.


Suhani pula aktivis yang perjuangkan nasib kaum India di Australia. Besar risiko kalau Jai teruskan hubungan dia dengan Suhani. Lebih baik dia bercinta dengan Nicole 'Nikki' (Shella Allen) dan dapatkan status PR lepas berkahwin. Tapi Jai tak mampu nak lupakan Suhani tambah pula bila Suhani perlukan pertolongan dia lepas Samarth kena attack dengan Russell (Francis Chouler) dan geng dia.


Jalan cerita movie ni agak tak masuk akal dan ironi bila watak Joseph menentang sekeras-kerasnya bila Jai hasilkan movie cetak rompak dan nak Jai jadi manusia bagus tapi sudahnya dia hantar Jai ke Melbourne, Australia guna passport dan identiti palsu. Awkward moment sangat. Better kalau Joseph sekeluarga pergi bercuti untuk wedding kemudian diganggu Australian yang racist.


Sayang bila plot Crook ni hilang punca bila kita tahu kenapa Samarth benci sangat dengan Australian walaupun dia pilih untuk menetap dan bekerja di situ. Rasanya lagi meninggalkan impak kalau Russel nak balas dendam tapi disalah anggap sebagai serangan perkauman. Di awal movie kita nampak dia attack semua migrants tapi berubah karakter kepada seorang yang berhati lembut bila director dedahkan siapa dia sebenarnya.


Tapi perubahan tu nampak kelakar sebab tak justify pun kekejaman yang dia buat pada orang lain. Plot twist movie Crook ni cuma menunjukkan siapa yang lebih jahat dari siapa dan dah boleh agak dah pun bila watak Sheena (Smiley Suri) muncul. Nasib baik niat asal nak tengok movie ni sebab Emraan Hashmi comel je. Kalau sebab jalan cerita, dah terbalik meja dibuatnya sebab banyak sangat lompong dan cacat cela. Dengan tagline ‘It’s good to be bad’, duh??!


Tapi hanya pada jalan cerita dan dialog lah sebab visual dan sinematografi dari Vishnu Rao bagus. Begitu juga dengan music score hasil buah tangan Pritam dapat review dan rating yang positif sampai tercalon dalam Apsara Guild Award dalam kategori Best Music. Walaupun diterbitkan pada tahun 2010 tapi lagu Challa, Kya dan Mere Bina still best nak layan.


Sayangnya bila Neha Sharma pilih movie Crook sebagai movie debut dia di Bollywood sebab watak dia cuma penyeri movie je dan tak diberi ruang untuk menyerlah sebagai aktivis pun. Setiap kali dia nak tonjolkan something, watak dia dihalang oleh watak Jai atau Samarth. But still she looks cute with Emraan dan lakonan dia nampak natural dan bersahaja. Overall, Crook is bad but the album is worth to be in your playlist.

Masa scroll Twitter ternampak pulak Chili Cheese Fries dekat cafe tu tapi tak nak order dekat situ sebab dah tahu dah level masakan dia cuma indah khabar dari rupa walhal hakikatnya jauh panggang dari api. 

Tapi malangnya bila cari menu Chili Cheese Fries ni tak ada pun yang jual. Kenapa la McD dengan KFC tak letak menu ni padahal both restaurants ada fries dengan cheese. Bukan susah pun. Lepas belek semua restaurant dekat dalam Grab tu finally jumpa jugak Cheesy Fries dekat Dave's Deli. Walaupun craving dengan chili cheese fries tapi dapat cheese fries pun dah nikmat. 


I tak pernah try lagi menu dekat Dave's Deli ni but since dekat sini je yang ada, lantak lah rasa dia macam mana. Yang tu belakang kira, yang penting kita order dulu. Tapi sayang la delivery charge kalau order satu menu je so kita pasangkan dengan cold pressed detox - apple, cucumber, romain lettuce dengan celery. 


Lepas 20 minit menunggu Grab sampai dekat office, and tadaaa dapat la merasa cheesy fries! Cheesy fries dekat Dave's Deli ni memang berbaloi lah duit tu sebab bekas dia besar. Kentang dia pun kena potong besar tak macam fries biasa. Selain dari cheese, dalam cheesy fries ni ada tomaty gravy dengan daging cincang. 

Memang sedap lah makan panas-panas masa hujan. Tak habis pun makan sorang so kongsi berdua dengan adik. Eh salah, kongsi berempat bila Bella dengan Loki pun menumpang sekali. Cheesy Fries ni around RM12 tak silap. 


For cold pressed detox juice ni at first macam ngeri jugak tengok warna dia sebab banyak sayur. Disebabkan taknak kembang tekak, sebelum minum masukkan dulu dalam freezer supaya dia sejuk kaw. Bila minum eh sedap pulak. Walaupun rasa macam minum sayur tapi manis apple tu dah potong rasa sayur. 

Bila dah sedap minum yang ni rasa macam nak buat sendiri pulak sebab harga sebotol RM8.90. Kenyang pulak tu bila minum juice ni. 

By the way, lepas ni kalau craving lagi dah tahu dah dekat mana nak cari. Menu lain dekat Dave's Deli pun macam menarik jugak. Cun jugak ni kalau lunch dekat sana. Hehehe
