A SHOCKING LIE IS IMMEDIATELY REVEALED AS FIRST EPISODE OF “PINK LIE” IS AVAILABLE FREE TODAY | The first episode of the new Korean dating reality will be available free on YouTube today, along with reveal of first two episodes on Disney+ Hotstar. 

In celebration of today’s release of the exciting and experimental new Disney+ Hotstar Korean dating reality show Pink Lie, which sees a group of young singles, each with a lie they want to hide, put into a house with the sole goal of finding love - audiences can enjoy a sneak peek at what to expect this season, with the first episode of the show available free on the Disney+ Hotstar official YouTube channel here today. 

Hosted by Super Junior’s Kim Heechul, Lee Sunbin (Work Later, Drink Now, Air Murder), Song Wonseok (Business Proposal, One the Woman), and YouTube influencer Ralral, Pink Lie sees a group of contestants each armed with one lie about themselves come together in an attempt to find their one true love. In each episode, contestants will be required to bond and complete challenges, but are not allowed to tell their potential partners their critical lie. Along the way, select participants are given special privileges in the form of a “pink moon” which allows them to find out another participant’s lie, and decide for themselves whether or not they want to continue the relationship.

Developed by the creative minds behind Weekend Playlist, Pink Lie gives participants a second chance at love by removing prejudice and allowing a bond to form before testing the strength of that connection.

Pink Lie will be available today with the first two episodes available on Disney+ Hotstar and new episodes launching every week.

“ONE DOLLAR LAWYER” A KOREAN COURTROOM COMEDY STARTS STREAMING SEPTEMBER 23 ON DISNEY+ HOTSTAR | Starring Namkoong Min and Kim Jieun, this upcoming legal drama pits a local courtroom hero against multinational law firms and their lawbreaking clients.

This fall, watch David take on a steady stream of Goliaths in One Dollar Lawyer, a moving courtroom comedy about a pro bono lawyer who helps those in need for just a dollar a case, coming September 23rd on Disney+ Hotstar.

Cheon Jihun is a lawyer who is committed to doing the right thing. Sporting a stylish perm and an unorthodox methodology, he has made a name for himself as one of the most talented lawyers around, routinely beating expensive firms and their lawbreaking clients for just one dollar per case. An inspiration to many, Jihun will cause Baek Mari, a confident assistant attorney born into “legal royalty” to question everything she believes after being forced to work with Jihun for two months. 

Starring Namkoong Min (Stove League, The Veil) as Cheon Jihun, a star lawyer with a high win rate who charges his clients one dollar per case; Kim Jieun (The Veil, Strangers From Hell) as Baek Muri, a lawyer born into a family of “legal royalty”; One Dollar Lawyer is written by Choi Soojin and Choi Changhwan (Heart Surgeons, Innocent Defendant), directed by Kim Jaehyun and Shin Joonghoon, and is produced by Studio S.

The latest Korean title to be announced as part of the library of endless entertainment available on Disney+ Hotstar, One Dollar Lawyer  joins other world-class local APAC content, including Big Mouth about an inept lawyer who is falsely imprisoned and accused of being the country’s most notorious conman; Soundtrack #1, about unrequited love between two close friends, as well as the recently announced Connect about a serial killer who crosses the wrong man, and much, much more.

When a student at a high school suddenly dies without explanation, the rest of the semester will be filled with vengeance against those responsible in Revenge of Others, a thrilling Original series coming to Disney+ Hotstar this November.

Following the suspicious death of her twin brother, Ok Chanmi, a shooting athlete, takes the extraordinary step of transferring to her brother’s school in an attempt to uncover the truth and find out why the police and the school seemed to have covered up his death. Driven by her love for her brother and a need to understand what happened, Chanmi will partner with another student Ji Suheon, to exact revenge by proxy on those who bully others. Filled from the opening bell with mystery, intrigue and a series of strange incidents being thrown at Chanmi, audiences will be left champing at the bit for each new episode of Revenge of Others.

Starring an up and coming cast of talented Korean actors, Revenge of Others stars Shin Yeeun (A-TEEN, He is Psychometric, Meow the Secret Boy, More Than Friends) as Ok Chanmi, a star shooting athlete whose brother dies under mysterious circumstances; Lomon (All of Us Are Dead) as Ji Suheon, a student committed to taking revenge on other people’s bullies; Seo Jihoon (Seasons of Blossom, Drama Stage: Midnight) as Seok Jaebeom, someone who is able to trace events through lost memories; Chae Sangwoo (Wretches, Nokdu Flower) as Ji Oseong, Lee Soomin (Two Universes, Pumpkin Time) as the secret-hiding Guk Jihyeon, and Chung Subin (Rookie Cops, Dark Hole) as Tae Soyeon.

Getting life lessons from a second-rate lawyer whose world was turned upside down in a single day may be unorthodox but as Park Chung-Ho (Lee Jong-suk)’s life will show you, you’ll definitely come out on top.

Here are five life lessons from Big Mouth that could save you from a lifetime of pain.

1. Marry your best friend

The person you marry can make or break your life. Chung-Ho and Mi-ho are not the perfect on-screen couple that you see in romance movies, but their relationship is nothing but resilient. Though Mi-ho has to constantly deal with the consequences of her husband’s overly strong ambition, she never relinquishes her trust in him. Even when the entire country believed Chung-Ho was a villain, Mi-Ho continued to fight by his side to prove his innocence. So, marrying your best friend could literally save your life.

2. Fake it till you make it

Nothing beats persistence when you’re stuck in a sticky situation. So the next time you’re struggling at something, keep trying and you’ll eventually succeed. For Chung-Ho, going from Big Mouth to Big Mouse wasn’t easy but it was the only choice he had. struggling to adapt to life in prison, Chung-Ho finally makes the life-saving decision to put on the mask of Big Mouse. Despite some expected stumbles, he eventually continues to gain influence within the prison with his new persona.

3. There's nothing wrong with accepting help

Asking for help can be tough, especially when you’re surrounded by people who expect something in  return. Hye-Jin (Hong Ji-Hee), doesn’t have anyone to turn to when she’s in trouble because of her corrupt husband. Even when others offered a way out, Hye-Jin was reluctant to accept their help. However,  her life took a turn for the better when finally took the leap and accepted their help.

4. With a good team, you can save a nation

Nothing beats a squad you can rely on. From bad breakups to fighting a corrupt system, there’s nothing you can’t overcome without an amazing support system. Despite the many attacks and accusations they faced, Chung-Ho always had his squad (wife, his father-in-law, and his best friend) by his side. Be it a tough legal case or mistaken identity as a notorious criminal, they were always ready to put themselves in danger to save him.

5. Don't underestimate your opponents

A lesson both viewers and Chung-Ho can learn is to never underestimate your enemy. When Chung-Ho took on the persona of Big Mouse, he also falsely assumed the notorious swindler’s confidence, which was a mistake that could have cost him his life. As he continues his attempts to uncover the true face behind Big Mouse, his lofty ambitions and false bravado may prove to be his downfall.

Well, one thing is for sure – nothing beats a good old-fashioned takedown. Chung-Ho’s fight continues in the Big Mouth season finale on September 16, streaming exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar here.

Exclusive Worldwide Premiere of HYBE Content including Documentary Series that Captures Creative Journey of BTS from Debut to the Start of their New Chapter

The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific and HYBE today announced a global content collaboration that will see both companies working together to showcase creative excellence from South Korea’s music and entertainment industry to the world stage. The agreement includes global distribution of five major content titles from HYBE, which include two exclusive series featuring 21st century pop icons BTS that will launch on Disney’s streaming services.

Three of HYBE’s projects coming to Disney’s streaming services include:

“BTS: PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LA”: This exclusive cinematic 4K concert film features BTS’ live performance in Los Angeles’ Sofi Stadium in November 2021. Performing Billboard hit songs “Butter” and “Permission to Dance,” this was the first time in two years since the pandemic that the band met fans in person. 

“IN THE SOOP : Friendcation”: An original travel reality show with a star-studded cast including V of BTS, Itaewon Class’ Seo-jun Park, Parasite star Woo-shik Choi, Hyung-sik Park, and Peakboy. The program features the five friends venturing on a surprise trip and enjoying a variety of leisure and fun activities.  

“BTS MONUMENTS: BEYOND THE STAR”: This original docu-series follows the incredible journey of 21st century pop icons BTS. With unprecedented access to a vast library of music and footage over the past nine years, the series will feature the daily lives, thoughts and plans of BTS members, as they prepare for their second chapter. The docu-series will be available exclusively on Disney’s streaming services next year.

This strategic collaboration will allow Disney to introduce a series of new titles from HYBE over the next few years, as the entertainment platform continues to produce high-quality content based on its music and artists IPs.

Bulan lepas dapat parcel pink dari Disney+ Hotstar Malaysia tapi bulan ni baru nak cerita sebab baru settle makan semua sajian manis yang bertemakan drama Korea. Kenapa Disney+ bagi parcel ni? Sebab Disney+ nak berkongsi kegembiraan bila streaming platform yang baru datang ke Malaysia ni dah berjaya dapattempat di hati peminat drama Korea. 

Sebelum ni Disney+ Hotstar bawa Snowdrop dan Soundtrack No. 1 untuk tayangan eksklusif dan kedua-dua drama mendapat sambutan yang menggalakkan. Snowdrop sampai sekarang masih lagi trending. Jadi Disney+ Hotstar bawa masuk lebih banyak drama Korea untuk peminat drama Korea. Drama-drama tersebut mempunyai pelbagai genre dan barisan pelakon hebat juga. 

Drama tersebut ialah Doctor Lawyer, Bloody Heart, Link : Eat, Love, Kill, Kiss Sixth Sense dan Going to you at the Speed of 493KM/H. 

1. Bloody Heart 

Raja yang memimpikan bentuk pemerintahan monarki sepenuhnya agar dapat bertahan hidup, Lee Tae (Lee Joon) percaya bahwa segala cara yang diambil pemimpin negara adalah mutlak dan dibenarkan. Ia juga tidak ragu untuk mengambil alternatif yang melanggar undang-undang atau cara yang tidak jujur. Lee Tae harus meninggalkan wanita yang dicintainya (Kang Han Na) untuk bertahan dalam hidup. Drama fiksyen sejarah ini mempunyai 16 episod. 

2. Doctor Lawyer

Mengisahkan tentang seorang ahli bedah ternama Korea yang dipenjarakan dan hilang lesen perubatan kerana pesakitnya meninggal dunia tanpa diduga. Peristiwa tersebut membuatkan Han Yi Han (So Ji Sub) memilih bidang yang baru. Dari bidang pengacaraan, dia dapat kekuatan untuk bela diri lantas bekerjasama dengan kekasih pesakitnya, Geum Seok Young (Im Soo Hyang). 

3. Link : Eat, Love, Kill

Tukang masak terkenal, Eun Gye Hoon (Yee Jin Goo) mendirikan sebuah restoran yang mana restoran tersebut merupakan titik lokasi hilangnya saudara kembar dia pada 20 tahun yang lalu. Eun mendirikan restoran tersebut dengan harapan jika memang saudara kembarnya masih hidup, dia mempunyai tempat lokasi terakhir untuk kembali. 

Anehnya, dia mendapati dirinya mengalami emosi secara spontan menangis dan ketawa, dan ternyata ia adalah emosi seorang wanita bernama Noh Da Hyun (Moon Ga Young).

4. Kiss Sixth Sense

Drama yang diadaptasikan dari webtoon ini menceritakan kemampuan Hong Ye Sul (Seo Ji Hye) yang dapat melihat masa depan melalui sebuah ciuman. Cha Min Hoo (Yoon Kye Sang) pula seorang bos yang gila kerja dan berhati batu. Meskipun begitu, Cha Min Hoo memiliki instinct 10 kali ganda lebih tajam dari orang sekeliling. Deria keenam dia juga merupakan faktor kejayaan utama dalam kerjaya. 

5. Going to you at the Speed of 493KM/H 

Kisah cinta antara pemain badminton Park Tae-yang (Park Ju-hyun) dan Park Tae-joon (Chae Jong-hyeop) di dalam acara beregu. Tae-yang kembali ke Seoul untuk memulakan semula pengembaraannya dalam suka badminton kerana beliau pernah digelar sebagai ‘si genius badminton’ dan merupakan calon sukan olimpik. Namun dia terpaksa berhenti kerana dikatakan memberi rasuah kepada pegawai pertandingan.

Antara drama yang nampak menarik mesti lah Doctor Lawyer dengan Link : Eat, Love, Kill sebab I suka genre mystery, crime atau thriller. Drama yang lain pun menarik jugak sebab jalan cerita ada keunikan tersendiri. Tersengih lebar masa baca kad ucapan dari Disney+ Hotstar ni sebab kreatif betul perkenalkan semua sajian pemanis dalam kotak merah tu. Happy bila buka kotak sebab cantik. 

Setiap dessert yang ada ni melambangkan setiap drama yang ditayangkan dalam Disney+ Hotstar Malaysia. Nampak tak kek vanilla ada lambang bulu tangkis tu? Haa yang tu haruslah untuk drama Going to you at the Speed of 493KM/H. Cantik kan? 

Dessert yang paling sedap sekali, kek berry dari drama Bloody Heart. Kek dia dah la cantik siap dengan kelopak bunga sebagai penyeri, rasa dia pun sedap. Tak puas makan sebab kecil je saiz dia. Yang Kiss Sixth Sense tu pun sedap jugak sebab I suka makan kacang merah. Makan sejuk-sejuk memang sedap!
